RE/MAX produced the videos below to help homeowners avoid foreclosure. I'm a Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE). Approximately 70% of owners who have received foreclosure notices don't even contact their lenders. Lack of knowledge and baseless myths about the process have created confusion and hopelessness among struggling homeowners. 

Foreclosure is the worst case scenario and it can be avoided if timely and intelligent action is taken. With programs such as HAFA (Homeowners Affordable Forclosure Alternatives), lenders and the federal government are reaching out to help distressed homeowners out of their dilemma. If you know someone who is struggling, tell them to contact a realtor with a CDPE certification for help. One in every seven homes today is distressed, which means the homeowner is, or will soon be, in a default situation. Nationally, 9.5M homes are distressed and the fastest growing category is homes in the $1M and higher category.
